Assyria Cemetery is owned and operated by the AssyriaTownship. Information was gathered by Sara Colburn, and RuthMcMonigle by walking the cemetery in 1999. Updated again inOctober 2009. Many of the updates listed are from county records, newspapers,obits, etc. when we did not find them on the stones. This is the cemetery forthe community of Assyria. It was established back in the mid 1800s, so some ofthe markers and stones are missing or illegible. Cemetery is still being usedtoday.

From Bellevue MI, take Hwy 78 west about two miles, turn right or northeastonto Jones Road and continue about 3.5 miles. Turn right or north onto Hwy 66for less than one mile. Cemetery will be on the east or right side.
